Bulk Depalletizer - High Level

The CHSC Bulk Depalletizer offers superior product handling and efficient container discharge systems, especially for PET bottles and other difficult to handle containers.

• The layer table employs a sliding mechanism to bring the table to the layer of bottles, firmly containing the tier sheet and compensating for non-square loads. Depending on the containers to be handled, a variety of mat-top chains and product accumulation bed discharge configurations are available.

• The lift position is sensed by an absolute encoder, which increases location accuracy and speed while eliminating mechanical changeover. The optional variable frequency drives on the pallet conveyors permits the stretch wrap and straps to be removed from the bulk load on the first section of pallet conveyor without the risk of dropping bottles as the loads are conveyed into the depalletizing station.

• Considerable effort has gone into minimizing the maintenance requirements. Shaft mounted gear-motors are used extensively throughout the machine, reducing wear of critical bearings and guide ways by eliminating drive train backlash on stop/start and forward/reverse movements. The carriage drive system uses a timing belt that drives a pinion against an inverted rack. This backlash free system is quieter and faster then a chain drive, and is practically maintenance free. All purchased components are readily available from local suppliers.

• The main frame of the machine is our 'state of the art' tower design of welded steel plate construction. This includes the pallet lift, the sliding layer table, and the layer positioner assembly. Also standard is a heavy duty product accumulation bed. Pallet conveyor sections, pallet magazine, tier sheet removal, and container discharge conveyors can be added as required. Pneumatic cylinders, meeting the ISO standard, are used on short stroke secondary movements only.

• The operator panel provides layer counts, diagnostic information, and controls for easy restarts. All photoeyes employ quick disconnect connectors for ease of replacement.
